Joel officially launched his Welsh Assembly campaign to turn Cardiff North blue at the Derry Inn, Rhiwbina.
Speaking to a crowd of local supporters and volunteers Joel outlined his four-point plan to make Cardiff North an even better place to live. Joel went on to say "It's vital the Welsh Government take our NHS seriously, we need to hold Welsh Labour to account for their actions, whilst working to improve NHS waiting times in Cardiff and delivering much-needed cancer drugs fund."
On the subject of supporting our local schools, Joel said "coming from a family of teachers I have a strong ethos of public service. It is so important we support our schools and their staff by listening and acting on their concerns - We have a duty of care to ensure all children have the best start in life."
Following the campaign launch, Joel's team split into smaller groups who then went to different parts of Cardiff North to speak to local residents about their concerns and issues.
