This afternoon, High Court Judge Ian Dove ruled in the case brought by Keep Us Rural in an attempt to have an application quashed.
His Honour Judge Dove found that there was sufficient grounds to grant permission to proceed to a Judical Review in relation to the Solar Farm between Cardiff and Newport.
The Judge ruled that the Local Authority had acted unlawfully in relation to the planning application for the large Solar Farm, however used his discretion and decided not to quash the planning permission. This is because the Judge believed that there was not a substantial probability a different conclusion would be reached if the application was re-determined by the Council.
This is obviously disappointing and we'll have to review the next steps we take. The support of the community has been excellent.
