This morning Keep Us Rural appeared in court in an attempt to have a decision taken by Newport City Council to allow permission for a solar farm in Newport quashed.
I represented Keep Us Rural in Court this afternoon for a two day scheduled hearing at Cardiff Civil Justice Centre. The Group, which I am a member of, seeks to highlight the failures of the local authority, Newport City Council, in granting planning permssion for 19,400 solar panels in land between Cardiff and Newport.
The Solar Farm affects the communities of Old St Mellons, Cardiff and Michaelston-Y-Fedw, Newport.
Keep Us Rural launched Judicial Review proceedings against the Council after the application was granted in October 2015.
