This week Councillor Joel Williams has been out in Rhiwbina with local Councillors Adrian Robson and Jayne Cowan, alongside Tax Payers Alliance activist Lee Canning to campaign against the car parking charges introduced in Rhiwbina village by the Labour-run Cardiff Council.
Speaking about the campaign to scrap the parking charges, Cllr Joel Williams said: “This is a ridiculous decision from Labour’s Cardiff Council. We need to be encouraging people to shop local to support the local high streets, instead, Cardiff Labour has introduced car parking charges which is quite frankly could reduce footfall and damage the high street.”
He continued: “It is absolutely vital as many people sign the petition as possible, Cardiff Council need to know that we won’t put up with their ridiculous car parking charges.”
